Disse o guitarrista / vocalista Matt Heafy:
"Para aqueles que estão perguntando, esta canção foi escrita em [2008] para 'Shogun', e é basicamente quase a mesma coisa que era, então os fãs 'Shogun' irão regozijar; não gostava de Shogun ? Você não pode cavar isso. Mas desde que eu tinha 12 anos, eu queria ser um grande cantor. Eu gritei, porque não podia cantar. Estou orgulhoso e animado para finalmente ser capaz de fazer o que eu amo do jeito que eu Ame. "
"Não amou isso? O nosso material antigo ainda existe. Amou isso? Espetacular. Eu amo ambos os lados de todos vocês, independentemente.
"Gritar é fácil. Cantar é duro e sempre fui um fã do que é mais difícil. Se você ama o material velho — Ouça o material antigo, ele ainda está lá e nós ainda tocamos ao vivo."
Heafy acrescentou:
"Nós sempre queremos evoluir e fazer o que queremos fazer. Você não pode citar muitas outras bandas que podem dizer isso. Eles fazem o que acham que as pessoas querem ou são orientados a fazer; nós fazemos o que queremos toda vez.
"Eu estava e ainda estou capaz de gritar como você ouviu na maioria dos nossos álbuns. Eu precisava abrir minhas asas. Você deve saber que eu sou um grande fã do underground e aprecio sua arte. Berros não iriam funcionar em TRIVIUM."

Said TRIVIUM guitarist/vocalist Matt Heafy: "For those of you wondering, this song was written for [2008's] 'Shogun', and is basically almost the same as it was, so 'Shogun' fans rejoice; didn't like 'Shogun'? You may not dig this. But know that since I was 12, I wanted to be a great singer I screamed, because I couldn't sing. I am proud and excited to finally be able to do what I love the way I love."
He continued: "Don't love it? Our old stuff still exists. Love it? Awesome. I love both sides of you all regardless.
"Screaming is easy. Singing is hard. I've always been a fan of what's harder. If you love the old stuff — listen to the old stuff, it's still there and we still play it live."
Heafy added: "We always want to evolve and make what we want to make. You can't say many other bands can say that. They do what they think people want or are told to; we do what we want every time.
"I was and am only capable of the scream you heard on most our albums. I needed to spread my wings. You should know I am a massive fan of the underground and appreciate their craft. Shrieks wouldn't work in TRIVIUM."
